The number of vehicles in Jakarta keeps increasing everyday
\nresulting in more traffic jams in the capital city. To reduce
\ntraffic jams, the city administration has implemented the 3-in-1
\nsystem, which allows only cars with three or more passengers
\n(including the driver) to pass along certain main streets in the
\ncapital city during peak hours.<\/p>\n

But this system is not of much help in reducing traffic
\ncongestion.<\/p>\n

The failure to control traffic jams is attributable to the
\nlack of a proper public transportation service. The
\nunavailability of proper public transportation has made car
\nowners reluctant to use public transportation for their daily
\nactivities.<\/p>\n

The provision of shuttle bus services, like those available in
\nthe Bumi Serpong Indah housing complex, could probably help
\novercome the public transportation problem and traffic congestion
\nin Jakarta.<\/p>\n
