Ferry said 28,626 KDKMP managers had been recruited. The appointment\ndecrees will be issued after a presidential regulation governing KDKMP\nis promulgated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe appointment decrees, including salaries, allowances and other\nprovisions, will be issued within the next one or two days,\u201d Ferry told\na House Commission VI working meeting in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The managers could not previously be placed because the government\nwas awaiting the presidential regulation, which, among other provisions,\nsets their salaries and allowances, he said.<\/p>\n
Ferry said the delay was not caused by sabotage, but by the\ngovernment\u2019s wait for the regulation to be issued.<\/p>\n
The managers will be employed by PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara under\ntwo-year fixed-term employment contracts, Ferry said.<\/p>\n
He said 17,288 village cooperatives already had warehouses, outlets\nand other facilities, based on information submitted by PT Agrinas to\nthe Cooperatives Ministry for verification and validation.<\/p>\n
Verification and validation are currently underway for 7,028\ncooperatives, involving teams at the provincial and district or city\nlevels, he said.<\/p>\n
The results will be reviewed by the Financial and Development\nSupervisory Agency (BPKP) before serving as the basis for payments and\ntransferring the buildings to villages.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe results have been submitted to us and will serve as the basis\nfor Finance Ministry payments to state-owned banks (Himbara), which have\nreached maturity,\u201d Ferry said.<\/p>\n
