Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - The Rector of Widya Mataram University (UWM)\nYogyakarta, Professor Edy Suandi Hamid, stated that the \u2018Excellent\u2019\naccreditation status achieved by two study programmes within the\nuniversity\u2019s Faculty of Economics must serve as motivation to continue\ndelivering increasingly high-quality higher education.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis achievement of excellent accreditation must be a motivation to\ncontinuously implement improvements and provide higher quality higher\neducation,\u201d said the Rector of Ulam in Yogyakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
Two programmes at the UWM Yogyakarta Faculty of Economics, namely the\nEntrepreneurship Study Programme and the Management Study Programme,\nhave achieved the \u2018Excellent\u2019 accreditation status from the Independent\nAccreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting\n(LAMEMBA).<\/p>\n
According to Edy, the achievement of the highest accreditation level\nby these two programmes marks an important milestone for the university\nin strengthening its academic quality.<\/p>\n
\u201cExcellent accreditation is not just a predicate, but a recognition\nof the long process and collective work of the entire academic community\nin maintaining and improving the quality of education,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Edy noted that the excellent accreditation serves as evidence that\nthe campus is continuously moving to strengthen the quality of\neducational delivery, while also serving as vital capital in increasing\npublic trust and enhancing the competitiveness of graduates.<\/p>\n
With these two \u2018Excellent\u2019 accreditation achievements by 2026, he\nadded, UWM is further asserting its commitment to sustainable\ntransformation towards becoming an excellent and character-driven\nuniversity.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, he continued, this achievement serves as an incentive\nfor all study programmes within the university environment to\ncontinuously improve quality and achieve the best quality standards.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, achieving accreditation is not the end of the process, but\npart of an ongoing effort to prepare graduates who are competent, have\nintegrity, are adaptive, and are capable of providing real contributions\nto society and development,\u201d said Edy.<\/p>\n
He expressed hope that the campus would remain committed to\ncontinuous quality improvement, through the strengthening of governance,\nlearning quality, lecturer competence, curriculum, research, community\nservice, student achievements, and the development of collaborative\nnetworks.<\/p>\n
