Lubis has been<br>\nannounced as the strongest candidate to lead the North Sumatra<br>\nUniversity (USU) for the 1994-1998 term.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. H.M Yusuf Hanafiah, the outgoing rector of the university,<br>\nannounced on Wednesday that Lubis, a professor of medicine, beat<br>\nfour other contenders by getting 32 votes in a closed session<br>\nattended by 83 professors.<\/p>\n<p>The other contenders are Dr. Aslim D.
