Reckless mall construction<\/p>\n

I was shopping at the Taman Anggrek mall in Slipi, West
\nJakarta, on Sept. 21 at around 3:30. The line of cars in front of
\nthe basement parking lot near Hotel Orchid seemed endless because
\ntraffic coming in and out of the parking lot. While waiting for
\nmy turn to enter the basement, a large piece of wood suddenly
\nfell on my car near the front windshield. The wood, which dented
\nthe hood, had nails coming out of it and appeared to have come
\nfrom a concrete mold.<\/p>\n
Two meters from the place where the incident occurred, a
\nsecurity guard was guiding cars into various parking lots. After
\nI parked my car, I noticed that the unfinished part of the
\nbuilding was poorly secured with wire. The system should have
\nbeen further secured with wire netting to prevent loose pieces
\nfrom hitting cars below or hurting passers-by.<\/p>\n
I appeal to the contractors to take better safety measures.
\nIf not improved, visitors to the mall, or the parking attendants,
\nmight be the next victims.<\/p>\n
