The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) received an award from\nthe Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) during the 2026 National\nStatistics Day (HSN) Awards ceremony. The event took place in Jakarta on\nSaturday night (26\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
The award was presented directly by the Head of BPS RI, Amalia\nAdininggar Widyasanti, to the Head of BSSN, Nugroho Sulistyo Budi, in\nthe presence of several high-ranking state officials, including the\nMinister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, the Chair of the OJK Board of\nCommissioners Friderica Widyasari Dewi, and the Chair of the LPS Board\nof Commissioners Anggito Abimanyu.<\/p>\n
During the event, the Head of BSSN, Nugroho, expressed his deep\ngratitude and high appreciation to BPS for the recognition. He asserted\nthat digital transformation and national data sovereignty can only be\nrealised if supported by a resilient cybersecurity system.<\/p>\n
\u201cGovernment digitalisation is an absolute necessity,\u201d he stated.\nHowever, Nugroho noted that behind this transformation and the digital\neconomy, there must be a strong foundation, namely cybersecurity and\ncryptography.<\/p>\n
He stated that this award serves as tangible evidence of the\ndedication of the entire BSSN staff in guarding and overseeing the\nnational data ecosystem, including supporting the implementation of \u2018One\nData Indonesia\u2019 to ensure it remains free from cyber threats.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Head of BSSN, Nugroho, emphasised that this aligns\nwith the directives of President Prabowo Subianto regarding the\nimportance of building the government as a single entity, or \u2018Government\nIncorporated\u2019.<\/p>\n
The concept of \u2018Government Incorporated\u2019 (or \u2018Indonesia Incorporated\u2019\nin a national context) is a paradigm where all government agencies,\nstate institutions, and related sectors work as a single unit, much like\none large corporation. Under this concept, the principles of mutual\nassistance and cross-sector collaboration are key to achieving national\ngoals, rather than working in silos.<\/p>\n
He added that bureaucratic silos must be eliminated, for instance,\nthrough mutual data sharing.
