He noted that the province has 17 regencies\/cities with\nextensive agricultural and plantation potentials. Rice cultivation areas\nreach 537,000 hectares, oil palm 1.4 million hectares, and rubber, which\ncontributes 30 percent of national production. \u201cFor coffee, South\nSumatra ranks third in the world with arabica, liberica, and robusta\nvarieties,\u201d stated Herman Deru in his remarks on Thursday (9\/4).
