        "content": "<p>Rebels burn RP cell phone station<\/p>\n<p>PHILIPPINES: Communist guerrillas torched a mobile phone relay<br>\nstation south of the Philippine capital Manila in the latest of a<br>\nseries of attacks on civilian targets, the military said on<br>\nMonday.<\/p>\n<p>About 25 New People&apos;s Army (NPA) rebels surrounded a relay<br>\nstation of the Bayan Telecommunications Co. in Camarines Sur<br>\nprovince on Sunday, disarmed the security guard, poured fuel on<br>\nthe station and set it aflame, a military report said.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, the NPA have stepped up attacks on civilian<br>\ntargets, destroying equipment in quarries near Manila and raiding<br>\npolice stations.<\/p>\n<p>Armed forces chief Gen. Benjamin Defensor had ordered tighter<br>\nsecurity in all military camps to counter the renewed attacks,<br>\nmilitary spokesman Brig. Gen.
