        "content": "<p>Rebel PDI members on trial<\/p>\n<p>UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: The provincial court in<br>\nUjungpandang is scheduled to start a trial today against five<br>\nmembers of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI) who took part in<br>\nthe rebel PDI congress in Medan in June, which ousted the party's<br>\nleader, Megawati Soekarnoputri.<\/p>\n<p>\"The five accused clearly violated the law in attending the<br>\nso-called Medan congress,\" said M. Ilyas Amin, a lawyer<br>\nrepresenting Megawati and her colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The five -- Hambali, John Kadiaman, Effendi Ismail, Nico Ado<br>\nand Ferry Massiki -- are being sued for Rp 200 million<br>\n(US$86,900).<\/p>\n<p>Similar lawsuits are being launched by Megawati supporters in<br>\nother provinces.
