Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno has said the international trade\nevent China International E-Commerce Industry Expo (CIEIE) Indonesia\n2026 will serve as a platform for Jakarta\u2019s micro, small and medium\nenterprises (MSMEs) to expand their business networks and meet\ninternational partners.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis forum strengthens Indonesia\u2013China economic and trade relations.\nThis means it opens greater opportunities for Jakarta MSMEs to enter the\ninternational market, particularly China,\u201d he said in an official\nstatement on Monday.<\/p>\n
CIEIE 2026 will be held on 3\u20135 September 2026 in Halls B\u2013C, JIExpo\nKemayoran.<\/p>\n
The event brings together buyers, importers, distributors, retailers\nand marketplace sellers with suppliers, factories and brand owners from\nvarious categories.<\/p>\n
In a single visit, business actors can compare products, prices,\nminimum order quantities (MOQ), samples and cooperation\nopportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe hope is that the holding of CIEIE does not stop at being merely\nan exhibition, but produces concrete cooperation, new investment,\nbroader market access and business opportunities for Jakarta MSMEs,\u201d\nRano said.<\/p>\n
Rano said the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to encourage\nits fostered micro, small and medium enterprises to penetrate the global\nmarket.<\/p>\n
As a concrete step, the Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to\nsend 23 curated MSMEs to the China International SME Fair (CISMEF) 2026\nin Guangzhou, China, on 3\u20136 September 2026.<\/p>\n
The participation of these business actors is packaged through the\nChoose Jakarta programme.<\/p>\n
Previously, three Jakarta-assisted MSMEs participated in the China\nFood Trade Fair in March 2026.<\/p>\n
Promotional efforts in the international market also include\nfacilitating business meetings with global buyers, importers,\ndistributors and retailers.<\/p>\n
Rano said strengthening the export competitiveness of MSMEs is an\nimportant part of Jakarta\u2019s economic transformation.<\/p>\n
The processing industry sector was recorded as contributing around\n11.13 percent to Jakarta\u2019s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in\n2025.<\/p>\n
Going forward, the direction of Jakarta\u2019s industrial development is\nfocused on developing high-value-added and high-technology industries\nthat apply environmentally friendly principles.<\/p>\n
