Ramadan is not only being utilised to strengthen communal bonds and\nincrease care for one another, but also serves as an occasion to expand\ndiscussions on the role of youth in national development.<\/p>\n
This emerged during a joint iftar dinner with orphans and a youth\ndiscussion forum (\u201cNgabuburit Diskusi Kepemudaan\u201d) organised by the\nCentral Board of the Youth Renewal Movement of Indonesia (AMPI) at the\nSyajaratun Thayyibah Mosque within the Golkar Party Complex in Jakarta\non Tuesday, 10 March 2026.<\/p>\n
The event was attended by hundreds of orphans alongside senior AMPI\nofficials, including General Chair Jerry Sambuaga, Secretary General\nRobi Anugrah Marpaung, and General Treasurer Kevin Tandra. Also present\nwere Golkar Party Secretary General M Sarmuji, Chair of Commission X of\nthe House of Representatives Hetifah Sjaifudian, Golkar Party Chair Fahd\nArafid, House Member Ranny Fahd Arafiq, Golkar Research and Development\nChair Yuddy Chrisnandi, and Sri Suparni Bahlil, the wife of Golkar\u2019s\nGeneral Chair, who joined via video call.<\/p>\n
Golkar Party Secretary General M Sarmuji commended AMPI under Jerry\nSambuaga\u2019s leadership for organising the iftar event coupled with\nassistance to hundreds of orphans and support for the Golkar Party\nCentral Board Mosque. \u201cMay this activity benefit our fellow citizens,\nparticularly in this blessed month of Ramadan,\u201d Sarmuji said.<\/p>\n
Sri Suparni Bahlil, who also greeted hundreds of orphans, expressed\nhope that the joint iftar dinner and assistance to the orphans and the\nparty mosque would be blessed. \u201cGod willing, may it be blessed,\u201d she\nstated.<\/p>\n
AMPI General Chair Jerry Sambuaga said the activity forms part of a\nseries of Ramadan programmes initiated by AMPI\u2019s central board to\nstrengthen brotherhood and reinforce youth\u2019s role in national life.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis iftar is part of AMPI\u2019s activities as Ramadan draws to a close,\nand serves as a symbol of social care for one another and blessing in\nthis holy month. It also reflects the directive of Golkar General Chair\nBahlil Lahadalia that we must remain close to and always stand with the\npeople,\u201d Jerry explained.<\/p>\n
Through this activity, he said, AMPI hopes to provide a space for\nconstructive dialogue among young people from various organisational\nbackgrounds, whilst strengthening the spirit of unity within the\nframework of national identity throughout the holy month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n
Religious preacher Ahmad Yani Panjaitan, who delivered a sermon at\nthe event, commended the Golkar Party under General Chair Bahlil\nLahadalia\u2019s leadership for its commitment to improving people\u2019s welfare.\n\u201cAs Party General Chair and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, he\ndemonstrates a clear track record of being an individual who provides\nextraordinary dedication and service to society, nation, and country,\u201d\nAhmad Yani, who also chairs the Religious Affairs Division of the MKGR\ncivic organisation, concluded.<\/p>\n
The programme delivered tangible impact through support to more than\n1,500 beneficiaries, assistance to 11 mosques and prayer halls, and\nempowerment of 4 local small and medium enterprises.<\/p>\n
