        "content": "<p>Railway system gets new cars<\/p>\n<p>PURWOREJO, Central Java: Five train cars will provide a new<br>\nservice to the railroad line between Purworejo and Jakarta, an<br>\nofficial here has said.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the state-owned railway company Perumka, Soemino<br>\nEkosaputro, said yesterday that the new cars had been brought<br>\ninto operation because the station&apos;s restoration has been<br>\ncompleted after 20 years of being out of operation.<\/p>\n<p>The cars will join the Sawunggalih Utama II series, that<br>\ndepart at 7 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. from Kutoarjo, a nearby town.<\/p>\n<p>The head of Purwokerto Office of Perumka, Singgih Abadi, said<br>\nthat the service aims to anticipate the increased number of<br>\npassengers during the coming Idul Fitri post-fasting holidays.<\/p>\n<p>He told Antara that the station restoration cost Rp 720<br>\nmillion (US$308,500).<\/p>\n<p>Singgih said that the government had given the development of<br>\nthe railroad system in Java top priority because of the density<br>\nof its population.
