A Quran teacher with the initials MS (44) has been arrested by police\nfor sexually abusing his nine-year-old pupil. He is known to have abused\nthe child, who was both his student and neighbour, on two occasions.<\/p>\n
Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) at Serang City\nPolice Criminal Investigation Division, First Inspector Febby Mufti,\nsaid the abuse occurred twice at the victim\u2019s home. The first incident\ntook place on Sunday (2\/8) at around 5.00 a.m. Western Indonesia\nTime.<\/p>\n
While the victim was still asleep, MS allegedly entered the victim\u2019s\nhouse on the pretext of inviting the child to exercise or go jogging in\nthe morning. Instead, the perpetrator sexually abused the victim,\nleaving the child terrified.<\/p>\n
Three days later, MS allegedly repeated the act at around 5.30 a.m.\nin the victim\u2019s bedroom. On that occasion, the victim cried and ran out\nof the house, encountering a neighbour who was passing by.<\/p>\n
\u201cPolice then investigated the conditions that enabled the perpetrator\nto commit his acts. From the investigation, MS is believed to have known\nthe daily routines of the victim\u2019s parents,\u201d said Febby on Tuesday\n(11\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s father, who works as a fisherman, usually leaves to go\nto sea at night and only returns in the afternoon. The perpetrator took\nadvantage of the morning hours when there was no supervision of the\nvictim.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe perpetrator could enter freely because he knew the victim was\nalone in the morning when the father had gone out to sea to fish,\u201d Febby\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s parents subsequently reported the incident to the\npolice. The perpetrator was eventually apprehended by police and local\nresidents on Sunday (11\/8).<\/p>\n
MS has now been named a suspect.
