Quintuplets in stable condition<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Newborn quintuplets are still in incubators but are in
\nstable condition, according to a nurse at the Harapan Kita
\nmaternity hospital in West Jakarta on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
\"But the mother's condition is critical and she is still in
\nthe Intensive Care Unit,\" the nurse, who asked not to be
\nidentified, told The Jakarta Post.<\/p>\n
She refused to provide any details on the condition of the
\nbabies, saying the hospital's public relations division would
\nprovide a media release on Monday.<\/p>\n
The babies -- four boys and one girl -- were delivered by
\nCaesarean on Saturday, and each weighed more than one kilogram.<\/p>\n
The quints are the first \"child\" for Mon Santoso, 55, and
\nYuliana, 33, who had been trying to get pregnant for about four
\nyears. The couple had consulted with doctors, Chinese medicinal
\npractitioners and traditional Indonesian healers.<\/p>\n
Indonesia's first quintuplets were born in 1996 in Borromeus
\nHospital in Bandung. The five children celebrated their eighth
