West Lombok (ANTARA) - Indonesia\u2019s Quarantine\nAgency has ensured that the distribution of sacrificial animals from\nregions to urban areas will be completed before Eid al-Adha, which falls\non 27 May 2026. Deputy for Animal Quarantine, Sriyanto, stated that West\nNusa Tenggara (NTB), as one of the main suppliers of sacrificial cattle\nto the Jabodetabek area, has passed its peak distribution period last\nweek. \u201cThe number of cattle has almost all been transported, so with the\nremaining time of about 38 days before Eid al-Adha, we hope it will be\nfinished,\u201d he said while inspecting the queue of trucks carrying\nsacrificial animals at Gili Mas Port, West Lombok, NTB, on Saturday.\nSriyanto said that the sacrificial cattle distributed from NTB to\nJabodetabek last year amounted to around 25,000 head, while the amount\nalready distributed as of 18 April 2026 reaches 19,000 head. According\nto him, this trend indicates an acceleration in distribution ahead of\nthe peak demand for sacrificial animals before the holiday. Based on\nfield observations, dozens of trucks were seen queuing in the Gili Mas\nPort area.
