        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 The Chairman of House of Representatives Commission XI,\nMukhamad Misbakhun, is encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprise\n(MSME) actors to utilise the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard\n(QRIS) as part of strengthening competitiveness in the digital era.<\/p>\n<p>He views the digitalisation of payment systems as an inevitability\namid the increasingly rapid development of technology.<\/p>\n<p>According to Misbakhun, Bank Indonesia (BI) has pioneered and\nintroduced QRIS as a practical, secure, and efficient solution to\nsupport public transactions, including those of MSME actors.<\/p>\n<p>The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Bank Indonesia\nSupervisory Board (BSBI), M Nawir Messi, as well as BSBI members Irwan\nLubis and Mohamad Khusaini.<\/p>\n<p>The activity was participated in by MSME actors in Pasuruan Regency\nas part of the socialisation of QRIS usage.<\/p>\n<p>In his presentation, Misbakhun explained that QRIS, launched on 17\nAugust 2019, will continue to evolve.<\/p>\n<p>He believes that expanding the reach of QRIS can enhance the\ncompetitiveness of Indonesian MSMEs, including in accessing global\nmarkets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the wider adoption of QRIS, we hope that MSMEs in the regions,\nincluding in Pasuruan Regency, can be more connected to the digital\neconomic ecosystem and leverage greater market opportunities,\u201d said\nMisbakhun.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to encouraging utilisation, Misbakhun also emphasised the\nsecurity aspect of QRIS usage. He assured MSME actors that they do not\nneed to worry about the security of digital transactions.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, BI as the monetary authority continues to build an\ninclusive yet secure digital payment ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>QRIS is considered a payment system that suits Indonesian conditions,\nboth in terms of infrastructure and transaction protection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cQRIS also provides convenience and security in transacting. The\npublic no longer needs to rely on cash, thus minimising the risks of\nloss or errors in transactions,\u201d stated Misbakhun.<\/p>",
