JAKARTA \u2014 Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries\/Head of\nthe Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani stated that the\nQ1 2025 investment realisation of Rp 465.2 trillion is proof that\nIndonesia remains trusted by the business community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis confidence from the business world, both domestically and\ninternationally, towards Indonesia is very well maintained,\u201d he said at\nthe Indonesia AI Day for Mining Industry event in Jakarta on Thursday\n(24\/4\/2025).<\/p>\n
Rosan explained that the quarterly investment figure reached 24.4% of\nthe annual national target of Rp 1,905.6 trillion. Compared to the\nprevious year on a year-on-year basis, the value of capital investment\nflowing into Indonesia rose by 15.9%.<\/p>\n
Additionally, during Q1 2025 the government successfully created up\nto 594,104 new jobs. \u201cAnd most importantly, we created employment\nabsorption totalling 594,104 people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Minister Rosan noted that one of the sectors making a\nsignificant contribution to investment realisation in Indonesia is\ndownstream processing in the mining sector, with an average contribution\nof up to 23%. His ministry is therefore promoting the development of\nthis sector, including through the adoption of artificial intelligence\n(AI) technology to boost productivity and competitiveness.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, this can make things better and allow us to always compete\nwith many countries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
