        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Jaya, in partnership\nwith Bank Jakarta, has introduced a Special Financial Literacy Category\nfor the Bank Jakarta in the Mohammad Hoesni Thamrin (MHT) 2026\nJournalistic Works Competition. The category is organised to enhance\npublic understanding of Bank Jakarta\u2019s role and contribution in regional\neconomic development. \u201cThe press has an important role in conveying\naccurate, educational, and beneficial information to the public,\u201d said\nPWI Jaya Chairman Kesit B. Handoyo in Central Jakarta on Wednesday.\nAccording to him, the competition also provides a space for the press to\nhighlight various innovations, services, community empowerment\nprogrammes, digital transformation, and Bank Jakarta\u2019s tangible\ncontributions in supporting Jakarta\u2019s economic growth and strengthening\nmicro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Special Financial\nLiteracy Category of Bank Jakarta is open to all mass media journalists\nin Indonesia. Participants may enter three competition categories:\nFeature News, Opinion Articles, and Photo Features. There are three main\nthemes participants can choose from: SME Strengthening, Jakarta Banking\nDigitalisation, and Banking Financial Ecosystems. All entries must\ninclude the keyword \u201cBank Jakarta\u201d and may utilise various official\ninformation sources provided by Bank Jakarta. The submission deadline is\n31 July 2026. In the initial stage, the judging panel will select the\nfive best works in each category. During the judging process, entries\nwill be assessed based on several key aspects. For the Feature News\ncategory, assessment includes depth of coverage, strength of human\ninterest, thematic relevance, writing quality, data accuracy, and\noriginality of the work. In the Opinion Article category, judges will\nevaluate the strength of arguments, use of data and references, depth of\nanalysis, thematic relevance, and the novelty of ideas presented.\nMeanwhile, the Photo Feature category will emphasise the photo\u2019s\nstorytelling ability, journalistic value, thematic relevance, technical\nquality and visual composition, as well as the strength of the\naccompanying caption. For each category, the organisers are providing\nawards of a trophy, certificate, and cash prize of Rp15 million for the\n1st Place winner. Additionally, the two best nominees in each category\nwill receive certificates of appreciation and coaching funds of Rp5\nmillion each. Kesit expressed hope that this collaboration would be part\nof a joint effort to build a healthy information ecosystem, increase\npublic trust in the financial services sector, and strengthen synergy\nbetween the media, the public, and the banking world in the digital\ntransformation era.<\/p>",
