Purwakarta Regent Saepul Bahri Binzein has set a target to complete\nrepairs on 6,945 uninhabitable homes (RTLH) within the next three years.\nThe total number of uninhabitable homes in Purwakarta Regency stands at\n10,650 units, of which 3,705 have already been addressed.<\/p>\n
Residents currently living in uninhabitable homes will need to remain\npatient, as the Purwakarta Regency Government will carry out repairs in\nstages. Regent Saepul Bahri Binzein said that when he took office, the\nnumber of RTLH in Purwakarta Regency reached 10,650 units, with around\n1,576 homes successfully repaired through the regional budget (APBD) and\nBSPS assistance.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf the 10,650 units, we are repairing them one by one gradually. In\n2025, 1,576 homes have been repaired through the APBD budget, BSPS, and\nassistance from other parties,\u201d said Saepul Bahri Binzein on Wednesday\n(19\/8).<\/p>\n
Despite thousands of RTLH remaining, Om Zein expressed optimism that\nall can be completed in stages. According to him, handling RTLH is part\nof the vision he has championed through the slogan \u201cJalan Mulus, Imah\nAlus\u201d (Smooth Roads, Beautiful Homes).<\/p>\n
The programme not only targets better road infrastructure development\nbut also ensures that residents, particularly low-income citizens, have\ndecent housing. \u201cI created the slogan Jalan Mulus, Imah Alus. The target\nis how to make roads smooth and the homes of poor people become good.\nBut it does take time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Om Zein acknowledged that during the handling process, some\nresidents\u2019 homes were found to be in very poor condition, with some\nnearly collapsing or already severely damaged. He asked the public to\ngive the government time to complete the remaining 6,945 RTLH.<\/p>\n
