Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has urged officials at the
Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) to maintain integrity and public
trust during the inauguration of eight new high-level and administrative
officials within the agency.

“I remind you once again, here there should be no nepotism, no
transactions, no special treatments, no figures that look good but
result from non-integritous processes,” Purbaya stated at the
inauguration held at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta on
Tuesday.

Purbaya acknowledged that the DJP is currently one of the
institutions receiving the most public scrutiny. He deemed this
reasonable, as taxes directly affect the public and the business
world.

He stressed the importance of a balanced position in tax management,
where state revenues must remain optimal but without eroding trust or
the business climate. According to him, taxes must be managed strongly,
cleanly, and acceptably to the public.

Purbaya also emphasised that DJP apparatus are in a challenging
position, as overly strict policies can provoke resistance, while
excessive leniency can reduce state revenues.

Therefore, he asked all employees to always adhere to the rules,
maintain integrity, and ensure every action can be clearly accounted
for.

“DJP employees must focus on their main duties, namely serving,
supervising, examining, collecting, and maintaining compliance,” he
said.

Purbaya added that state revenues heavily depend on tax performance.
If revenues are not optimal, it will not only impact the Ministry of
Finance but also the overall fiscal position.

Furthermore, he affirmed that every decision by DJP officials at all
levels will directly affect the public. The way taxpayers are served,
examinations and collections are conducted, and data is maintained not
only reflects the face of the DJP and the Ministry of Finance but also
the face of the state.

“This position is not a facility; this position is a function. If
seen as a facility, we are busy maintaining positions. If seen as a
function, we focus on working. Do it well, maintain integrity, implement
policies, do not make policies on your own. My message is, we do not
only collect taxes; we maintain the people’s trust, strengthen state
revenues, and ensure the Unitary Republic of Indonesia stands firm,”
Purbaya said.

The following is the list of the eight DJP officials inaugurated on
Tuesday (12/5):

Director of Extension and Assessment: Lindawaty

Tax Services Analyst: Ihsan Priyawibawa

Head of the Centre for Data and Document Processing:
Suparno

Head of the DJP Special Jakarta Regional Office: Tunjung
Nugroho

Head of the East Java III DJP Regional Office: Paryan

Head of the Tax Education and Training Centre: Edward Harmonangan
Sianipar

Head of the Stock Exchange Company Tax Service Office: Dessy Eka
Putri

Head of the Malang Medium Tax Service Office: Devi Sonya
Adrince

",
