        "content": "<p>Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has revealed that the\ngovernment is still waiting for the administrative process of\ntransferring PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) from BPI Danantara,\nin order to execute the scheme for settling the company\u2019s debt.<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya said that, in principle, the mechanism for settling KCIC\u2019s\ndebt has already been determined. However, its implementation will only\nproceed once KCIC has been handed over to the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs for the scheme, we are waiting to see when it is given to me, and\nthen we will sort it out. But it is already clear how it will be\nresolved,\u201d Purbaya said at the Presidential Palace complex on Wednesday\n(15\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya said he had received instructions from President Prabowo\nSubianto to settle KCIC\u2019s debt. However, he assured that a special\nscheme has been prepared, one that does not necessarily require the use\nof state budget (APBN) funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKCIC \u2014 it is still with Danantara at the moment, and it will later\nbe handed over to me. Because the President has ordered us to sort it\nout. But it does not have to use the APBN; I have a certain scheme in\nwhich there are tools and vehicles we have outside that can currently\nhandle KCIC,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he stressed that the takeover of KCIC has already been\ndecided.
