        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa received a message\nfrom President Prabowo Subianto to convey that the government has plenty\nof money, so the public need not fear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarlier, the President also told me to pass on the message that, \u2018I\nhave enough money, plenty of funds, so you don\u2019t need to be afraid\u2019,\u201d\nsaid Purbaya during a press conference at the Palace in Jakarta on\nTuesday evening (5\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya then stated that to strengthen the rupiah exchange rate, the\ngovernment will issue bonds with China.<\/p>\n<p>In that way, said Purbaya, Indonesia will no longer be overly\ndependent on the dollar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo strengthen the exchange rate, we will also issue bonds in the\nform of Panda Bonds in China with lower interest rates, so we won\u2019t be\noverly dependent on the dollar anymore,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>However, said Purbaya, many people are unaware of this situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo our economy is experiencing acceleration, which many people don\u2019t\nrealise, so people are a bit scared and exiting the capital market,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo our diversification will be even better going forward.
