        "content": "<p>Pura Barutama wins KPU tender<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The General Elections Commission (KPU) has declared <br>\nPT Pura Barutama the winner of a tender to produce voter <br>\nregistration cards worth Rp 71 billion.<\/p>\n<p>KPU chairman Nazaruddin Sjamsuddin said on Friday that the <br>\ndecision to declare Pura Barutama the winner was taken after the <br>\nend of the period for lodging objections on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>This is intended to allow the public to file objections <br>\nagainst the awarding of the tender. The KPU reserves to right to <br>\nreverse its decision should the members of the public make out a <br>\nstrong case against the winner.<\/p>\n<p>The KPU member in charge of the registration cards tender, <br>\nHamid Awaluddin, said last week that based on a technical <br>\nevaluation, Pura Barutama had scored 88, exceeding the minimum <br>\nscore of 80.<\/p>\n<p>The closest contender to Pura Barutama was PT Wahyu Abadi <br>\nwith a score of 62.<\/p>\n<p>Hamid said Pura Barutama had quoted Rp 69 billion for a total <br>\nof 145 million registration cards, which was below the <br>\ncommission's estimate of Rp 71 billion. --JP<\/p>",
