As I entered the Puncak area in West Java in July with my
\nrelatives, I had the window of my car open. About 500 meters from
\nPuncak Pass, I noticed the apparent smell a scorched clutch
\nlining. I thought it just came from an old burned tire because I
\nknew my car was all right.<\/p>\n
Several people suddenly emerged, shouting out a warning that
\nmy car engine was on fire. But my heart said they were bad guys,
\nwearing mechanics' suits and following us on motorcycles. I
\nrefused to stop for fear of being robbed. After some kilometers
\naway from them, we examined the car and it proved to be in good
\ncondition.<\/p>\n
Therefore, travelers passing Puncak should be alert against
\nsuch trickery. If anybody claims there is something wrong with
\nyour car, just ignore the warning. If you are in doubt, check it
\nat a nearby police station or go straight to a car workshop. I
\nhope the police will make frequent patrols to prevent such crime.<\/p>\n
