        "content": "<p>Puma returns to RI<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Sports footwear brand Puma will reenter the<br>\nIndonesian market in June after a seven-year absence, the company<br>\nsaid on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>A Puma director for Asia, Ian Woodcock, said he was upbeat the<br>\ncompany's products would receive a positive response from the<br>\nmarket despite the fact that the public's purchasing power had<br>\nyet to recover from the economic crisis.<\/p>\n<p>He said the company's previous sole distributor for Asia --<br>\noverseeing Thailand and China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and<br>\nIndonesia -- was forced to quit the market due to business<br>\ndifficulties.<\/p>\n<p>Asked about the threat of locally produced counterfeit goods,<br>\nWoodcock said each Puma product would be protected by a security<br>\nlabel printed by German company Siemens.<\/p>\n<p>In a launching ceremony on Wednesday, the company's<br>\ndistributor in Indonesia, PT Indosports Jaya, presented the<br>\nautumn and winter 2000 collection.<\/p>\n<p>Product price range from Rp 199,000 (US$27) to Rp 599,000.<br>\n(yan)<\/p>",
