Pulogadung ticket scalpers<\/p>\n
On Friday, April 10, 1997, both of us (TN and SP), went to the
\nPulogadung Terminal to take a trip to Salatiga. When we arrived
\nat the terminal, two men in white confronted us.<\/p>\n
We refused to buy tickets from them, but they still didn't
\nleave us alone. One of the men followed SP and kept tugging her
\narm. Finally, we were led to one of the ticket counters.<\/p>\n
Our first option was a bus ticket on the PO Tunggal Dara line
\npriced at Rp 8,000 per person. We paid with a Rp 20,000 bill but
\ndid not get our change of Rp 4,000.<\/p>\n
Then, when we had a closer look at our tickets, they had been
\nissued for PO Nantungga instead. Its route was way off from the
\none we wanted.<\/p>\n
We made inquiries at the counter, but the female ticket vendor
\nresponded in an abusive manner. We then turned to an official of
\nthe Traffic and Transportation Control Agency (DLLAJR) and were
\ntold to see someone in the office. We did as we were told and the
\nticket vendor was called to the office. We were then guided back
\nto the counter, but we were then scolded and treated in a more
\nimpolite way. We returned to the DLLAJR official several times,
\nwith the result of receiving our money back from the scalpers in
\nwhite, after a deduction of 20 percent. More disappointing though
\nwere the abusive words the ticket vendor used when it was clear
\nthat our money should have been returned.<\/p>\n
We were improperly treated the entire time. We went home
\nterribly disappointed. We had to cancel our trip to Salatiga.<\/p>\n
We hope that our experience will attract the attention of
\nlocal authorities, so we can safely go to Pulogadung Terminal
\nonce more.<\/p>\n
We believe that many passengers have had the same bad
\nexperience as we had.<\/p>\n
