        "content": "<p>The Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, has revealed that the\nrecent rise in fuel and asphalt prices, alongside the weakening of the\nRupiah, has not yet impacted the progress of construction projects being\nundertaken by the Ministry of Public Works. Dody noted that development\nprocesses continue despite high levels of global uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding construction, up to this moment, there has been no impact.\nAs for price escalation, we have coordinated with the LKPP (National\nPublic Procurement Agency). The Ministry of Public Works, represented by\nthe Directorate General of Construction Development, has submitted\ninternal feedback and input from industry associations,\u201d Dody stated\nwhen meeting journalists at the DPR RI building on Tuesday\n(2\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry, through the Directorate General of Construction\nDevelopment, has collaborated with various associations to summarise and\nsubmit recommendations to the LKPP. The LKPP is expected to issue a\nformal recommendation in the form of a circular letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ministry of Public Works has summarised these inputs,\nrepresented by the Directorate General of Construction Development, and\nsubmitted them to the LKPP. We are now waiting for the LKPP to issue its\ncircular,\u201d Dody explained.<\/p>\n<p>He added that potential price increases are possible, drawing a\nparallel to the situation in 2022 during the height of the Covid-19\npandemic when uncertainty was also high. \u201cIf the LKPP determines that\nprices must increase, then we will implement the increase. As happened\nin 2022, this is not a new phenomenon. If prices rise, we will certainly\npropose additional budget allocations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, in 2022, the LKPP issued Circular Letter Number 16 of\n2022 to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) regarding the\nimpact of rising fuel and other commodity prices on infrastructure\ndevelopment. This circular provided guidelines for Commitment Making\nOfficers (PPK) to adjust prices and contract values for works heavily\ndependent on fuel and asphalt usage.<\/p>",
