        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Minister of Transportation, Dudy\nPurwagandhi, revealed the number of passengers using public transport\nduring the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return flows for 1447 H or 2026.\nDudy stated that passenger movements on public transport during Eid 2026\nreached 23.73 million, an increase of 11.79% from Eid 2025, which was\n21.23 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total realisation of public transport passengers during Eid 2026\nreached 23.73 million people, experiencing an increase of 11.79%\ncompared to 2025,\u201d said Dudy during a working meeting (raker) with\nCommission V of the DPR RI on Monday (13\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In more detail, Dudy explained that all public transport modes\nexperienced increases, with ferry services recording the highest rise of\n17.05% to 5.6 million people, up from 4.8 million in Eid 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Next, travel services also saw a significant increase of 14.95% to\n257,219 people during Eid 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrowth in the number of public transport passengers occurred across\nall transport modes, with the highest increases including ferry services\nup 17.05%, road transport (travel) up 14.95%, and intercity rail\ntransport up 13.14%,\u201d explained Dudy.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Dudy explained that the number of people travelling home\nduring Eid 2026 reached 147.55 million, an increase of 2.53% from the\nMinistry of Transportation\u2019s survey of 143.92 million. This figure also\nrose from Eid 2025, which reached 146.48 million people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on survey results, public movements were projected at 143.92\nmillion people. Meanwhile, the realisation of movements based on mobile\npositioning data (MPD) reached 147.55 million people, or an increase of\n2.53%.
