Public awareness regarding the importance of fire protection systems in Indonesia remains low, even as industrial and commercial development accelerates. In response, safety solutions provider Saffire has launched a digital platform to streamline access to fire protection and industrial safety equipment. The company aims to foster a culture of safety through digitalisation, moving beyond mere regulatory compliance.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public awareness of the importance of fire
protection systems in Indonesia is still considered in need of
improvement, in line with the growing development of industrial estates,
commercial buildings, public facilities and residential areas.

This situation has prompted Saffire to launch a digital platform
offering a range of fire protection and industrial safety solutions
within a single ecosystem. The platform facilitates access to
information, consultation and the procurement of safety equipment.

Saffire Director Razali Bin Jaafar said in Jakarta on Thursday that
safety should be a priority before incidents occur, not after casualties
or losses arise.

“Safety must not be something that is only considered once an
incident has already happened. We see that many companies and
individuals still need easier access to information and fire protection
equipment. Digitalisation is one way of bridging that need,” said
Razali.

Fire risk remains a threat across various sectors, from industrial
estates and commercial buildings to healthcare facilities, data centres
and residential neighbourhoods. However, fire protection is still often
perceived as merely the ownership of portable fire extinguishers
(APAR).

In fact, a fire protection system encompasses various critical
components, such as early detection, personal protective equipment
(PPE), emergency response devices, and the readiness of human resources
to face emergency conditions.

Recognising these needs, Saffire has launched a digital platform that
integrates various fire protection and industrial safety solutions,
making it easier for users to obtain safety products and services.

The platform provides various product categories, including fire
protection systems, PPE, electrical safety, rescue equipment, lock out
tag out (LOTO), gas detection, spill control, first aid kits, and fire
blankets for electric vehicles (EVs).

Razali said that the digitalisation of safety equipment procurement
is expected to help companies obtain their safety needs more quickly,
transparently and with proper documentation, thereby supporting the
implementation of a sustainable workplace safety culture.

Demand for fire protection systems is expected to continue rising in
line with the development of industrial estates, data centres, high-rise
buildings, healthcare facilities and the electric vehicle ecosystem in
Indonesia.

Therefore, improving fire protection literacy is considered necessary
to go hand in hand with the use of technology to support safety.

“We hope the digital transformation we are undertaking will not only
make transactions easier, but also encourage companies and the public to
make safety a daily culture, rather than merely fulfilling regulatory
obligations,” he said.

As a provider of fire protection, industrial safety and emergency
response solutions, Saffire supplies a wide range of safety equipment
for the industrial sector, commercial buildings, public facilities and
electric vehicles.

Through the development of its digital services, the company is
committed to expanding access to safety solutions that are easier,
faster and more integrated.
",
