        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani stated\nthat the state should award three Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)\nsoldiers serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL)\nwho perished in Lebanon due to an Israeli attack.<\/p>\n<p>Puan urged the government and TNI to provide due honours to the\nfallen soldiers, including ensuring their rights as humanitarian heroes\nare fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese three finest sons of Indonesia fell while carrying out their\nnoble duty as guardians of world peace. It is only fitting that the\nstate gives them the best possible recognition for their sacrifice,\u201d\nPuan said in her statement, quoted on Wednesday, 1 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the DPR RI and personally, I convey my deepest\ncondolences over the passing of these three children of the nation who\nwere carrying out humanitarian duties in Lebanon,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>According to Puan, the sacrifice of the TNI soldiers in Lebanon\nserves as a reminder that Indonesia\u2019s position on the international\nstage is built not only through political statements but also through\nthe courage to stand on the front lines when the world faces\nconflict.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, according to Puan, the best tribute to the fallen soldiers\nis to ensure that their dedication strengthens national and\ninternational awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn awareness that world peace is not an agenda far removed from\nIndonesia\u2019s interests, but part of a responsibility that always carries\nreal consequences,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Puan hopes this incident will further increase awareness among all\nparties about the importance of steps and efforts to create peace,\nespecially for parties still in conflict and embroiled in prolonged\ngeopolitical strife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe war must be stopped immediately. How many more victims must fall\nfor the power of certain parties. The United Nations must dare to act\nfirmly,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that the Head of the Information Centre (Kapuspen) of TNI\nHeadquarters, Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, revealed the\nidentities of the two fallen TNI soldiers: Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya\nIskandar and Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan. Then, the other two\nsoldiers who were injured: First Lieutenant Inf Sulthan Wirdean Maulana\nand Private First Class Deni Rianto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incident occurred amid high escalation of conflict, where an\nexplosion on the vehicle resulted in the death of TNI soldier Captain\nInf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar and Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and\ntwo others were injured: First Lieutenant Inf Sulthan Wirdean Maulana\nand Private First Class Deni Rianto, who have been evacuated and are\nreceiving medical treatment at St.\u00a0George Hospital in Beirut, Lebanon,\u201d\nhe said in his statement on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.<\/p>",
