        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 The Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives,\nPuan Maharani, has ensured that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget\n(APBN) for the 2026 financial year can maintain public welfare amid\nglobal geopolitical dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe House of Representatives will ensure that the fiscal capacity of\nthe 2026 APBN remains able to protect and maintain the quality of life\nof the people, so that public welfare does not decline,\u201d said Puan in a\nspeech at the House.<\/p>\n<p>She spoke during the Opening Plenary Session of the 2025\/2026 Fourth\nSession at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that the impact of such conflicts would affect oil prices,\ntransportation costs, commodity prices, the rupiah\u2019s exchange rate\nagainst the US dollar, supply chains, economic growth, and fiscal\nresilience in implementing development.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, at the same time, continued Puan, the people still hold\ngreat hopes for the state to be present in creating job opportunities,\nincreasing people\u2019s incomes, improving access to quality education and\nhealthcare services, and strengthening the people\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGetting employment, seeing their income increase, receiving quality\npublic services, and feeling safe and secure,\u201d she said.<\/p>",
