The session was held in conjunction with the presentation of\nthe 2027 State Budget Bill (RAPBN) and Financial Note at the parliament\ncomplex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (14\/8\/2026). President Prabowo\nSubianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming were present for the\nagenda. House Speaker Puan Maharani chaired the session and delivered\nher opening address. She declared the meeting open and accessible to the\npublic. \u2018Based on the records of the DPR Secretariat General, 463\nmembers representing all DPR factions are in attendance, thus a quorum\nhas been achieved,\u2019 Puan stated. \u2018By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim,\nallow us, the leadership of the House, to open the first plenary session\nof the DPR for the 2026-2027 sitting period on this Friday, 14 August\n2026, and we declare it open to the public,\u2019 she added. During the\nsession, President Prabowo also delivered a state address in conjunction\nwith the submission of the bill on the 2027 state budget. The agenda for\nthe plenary session on the draft state budget included: attendees\narriving and taking their designated seats from 13:30 to 14:10; the\nsinging of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, from 14:30 to 14:35; the\nopening of the session by the DPR Speaker and a prayer from 14:35 to\n14:42; the Speaker\u2019s address to open the first sitting period of the\n2026-2027 session year from 14:42 to 14:57; the President\u2019s state\naddress from 14:57 to 15:42; the submission of the 2027 State Budget\nBill along with its Financial Note and supporting documents from the\nPresident to the DPR Speaker, followed by the DPR Speaker\u2019s request for\nconsideration from the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and the\nsigning of the official report from 15:42 to 16:02; and the closing of\nthe plenary session by the DPR Speaker from 16:02 to 16:07.<\/p>",
