Puan urged law enforcement to investigate the matter\nthoroughly to deliver justice for the victim and her family. She\nemphasised that bullying, especially when it leads to a fatality, cannot\nbe tolerated and must serve as a turning point to break the cycle of\nviolence in professional and organisational settings. \u201cWe must ensure\nthis is investigated, and the legal case must be resolved with absolute\nclarity,\u201d Puan said at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central\nJakarta, on Tuesday. She also stressed that there must be legal\nsanctions for the members of the Timor Tengah Utara Regional House of\nRepresentatives who allegedly intimidated doctor Icha, leading to her\nsuicide. Puan added that beyond criminal sanctions, the political party\ninvolved should impose ethical sanctions if violations are proven. She\nunderlined that the resolution of organisational or party sanctions must\nnot obscure or override the ongoing criminal process.
