        "content": "<p>Pekanbaru, (ANTARA) - PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional III has\ndisbursed assistance worth Rp264 million to support the improvement of\nchildren\u2019s education quality in Riau Province through its Social and\nEnvironmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme in the first semester of\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>Region Head of PTPN IV Regional III Bambang Budi Santoso said the\nassistance took various forms, ranging from the rehabilitation of school\nbuildings and classrooms, the provision of furniture, the strengthening\nof sanitation facilities, to donations of portable computers or\nlaptops.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChildren are the nation\u2019s next generation. That is why we want to\nplay a part in strengthening the foundations of education in the areas\nsurrounding our operations,\u201d Bambang said in a written statement on the\noccasion of National Children\u2019s Day in Pekanbaru on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that between January and June 2026, the TJSL programme\nin the education sector had reached ten educational institutions,\nincluding public schools, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and\norphanage foundations. Each form of assistance provided was tailored to\nthe real needs of each school so that it could deliver optimal benefits\nto the teaching and learning process.<\/p>\n<p>Bambang added that the company\u2019s commitment to education would\ncontinue into the second semester of this year. One of the programmes to\nbe rolled out again is the strengthening of digital literacy through the\nprovision of dozens of computer units complete with free internet\n(Wi-Fi) access to dozens of schools near the company\u2019s operational\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>He said the programme is an annual company agenda that has run\ncontinuously over the past five years as part of efforts to broaden\naccess to information technology for the education sector, particularly\nin remote areas.<\/p>",
