        "content": "<p>The Board of Commissioners and Directors of PT Perkebunan Nusantara\n(PTPN) I conducted a working visit to Regional 1 on Thursday (18\/6) to\ninspect Deli tobacco plantation operations and evaluate financial\nperformance and business development strategies. The agenda began with a\ndirect field inspection to observe the cultivation process of Deli\ntobacco, a commodity long recognised for its historical value and\ninternational reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Independent Commissioner Sultan Adil Hendra stated that Deli tobacco\nis a flagship commodity whose quality and sustainability must be\nmaintained. \u201cDeli tobacco has historical value and unique advantages.\nTherefore, operational efficiency and the application of proper\nagronomic practices need to be continuously improved to support the\ncompany\u2019s performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Following the plantation visit, the group held a coordination and\nevaluation meeting at the Regional 1 office. During the session, the\nFinance Directorate presented performance achievements and the necessary\nsteps to increase revenue and profitability. Director of Finance Doni P.\nGandamihardja emphasised the importance of financial discipline and\noptimisation across all business lines to meet company targets.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Regional Head Regional 1 Wispramono provided updates on\ncurrent operational developments and future commodity development plans.\nHe noted that all planned programmes will adhere to the principles of\nGood Corporate Governance (GCG). Through coordination between the Board\nof Commissioners, Directors, and regional management, PTPN I hopes to\nstrengthen its business transformation and enhance competitiveness.
