        "content": "<p>PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is targeting the reactivation of the Ombilin\ncoal mine in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra, for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>PTBA\u2019s President Director, Arsal Ismail, stated that the company\nplans to revive operations at the Ombilin mine as part of efforts to\nenhance business activities and provide economic benefits to the local\ncommunity.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the reactivation is expected to reopen job\nopportunities in the Sawahlunto region. With the Ombilin mine resuming\noperations, mining activities in the area will also regain momentum.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInsya Allah, we will also revive our mine in Ombilin. By 2027, Insya\nAllah, we will start operations again, thus providing job opportunities\nthere. So there will be mining again,\u201d Arsal said during a Working\nMeeting with Commission VI of the House of Representatives, quoted on\nWednesday (1\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Arsal added that the company is committed to supporting\nregional development, including the realisation of construction related\nto cultural aspects in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis includes the cultural building from Mr Fadli Zon, which Insya\nAllah we will also realise,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
