PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PT PSL) is expanding the scope of its\nPelita Programme (Pelindo Environment Without Stunted Children) in the\nNorth Rawa Badak Village, North Jakarta, targeting children, parents,\nand pregnant women. The programme reaches 30 stunted children, 3ively 30\nparents or guardians, and 25 pregnant women through nutritional\nintervention, family education, and health assistance.<\/p>\n
The implementation of the 2026 Pelita Programme involves six entities\nwithin the Pelindo Group. Interventions are not only directed at\nchildren experiencing stunting but also at families and pregnant women\nto strengthen prevention starting from the pregnancy period.<\/p>\n
Dewi Fitriyani, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat at PT\nPSL, stated that handling stunting requires continuous intervention\ninvolving the family. According to her, meeting a child\u2019s nutritional\nneeds must go hand-in-hand with increasing parents\u2019 knowledge regarding\nhealth and development.<\/p>\n
\u201cStunting is not just an issue of child growth, but also concerns the\nfuture of the nation\u2019s generation. The struggle for nutritional status\nand child health does not begin when a child is born, but much earlier,\nduring the mother\u2019s pregnancy,\u201d Dewi said in a press release on Tuesday\n(1\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
Consequently, the Pelita Programme also targets 25 pregnant women\nthrough vitamin distribution, as well as 30 parents or guardians through\neducation on healthy parenting patterns and training in processing\neconomical and nutritious local food ingredients.<\/p>\n
For the 30 child beneficiaries, interventions are carried out through\nthe provision of nutritious supplementary foods and the monitoring of\ngrowth and development. This approach is aimed at supporting nutritional\nfulfillment during the first 1,000 days of life.<\/p>\n
The programme aligns with the government\u2019s target to reduce stunting\nprevalence to 14.2 per cent by 2029. Prevention efforts are conducted\nfrom pregnancy through to the child\u2019s growth period, with the family\nplaying a key role in meeting nutritional needs.<\/p>\n
The Head of North Rawa Badak Village, Ester Laura Kartini, stated\nthat stunting prevention must begin during pregnancy through maternal\nnutritional fulfillment, followed by proper parenting and monitoring of\nchild development.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate the collaboration established in the 2026 Pelita\nProgramme. Children are the greatest investment for the nation\u2019s future;\ntherefore, stunting prevention efforts do not start when a child is\nborn, but from the pregnancy stage through good nutrition for the\nmother,\u201d said Ester.<\/p>\n
The Pelita Programme is a CSR initiative by PT PSL that has been\nrunning since 2024. In its initial stage, the programme targeted 10\nchildren identified with stunting around the company\u2019s operational\nareas, later increasing to 20 beneficiaries in 2025.<\/p>\n
In 2026, the programme\u2019s scope has been expanded to involve parents\nor guardians and pregnant women. This expansion places the family as a\ntarget of intervention, ensuring that prevention efforts do not focus\nsolely on treating the child\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n
