        "content": "<p>KONAWE \u2014 An employee of PT Obsidian Stainless Steel (OSS) in Morosi\nDistrict, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, identified by the initials\nSN (31), suffered a workplace accident on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, at\n09:10 local time. The accident resulted in the victim sustaining a\npermanent disability to his right foot.<\/p>\n<p>The incident began when SN, who was assigned to the Conveyor\nDivision, was carrying out routine cleaning. He slipped and fell into\nthe panbelt area (a triangular rock-crushing belt), causing his right\nfoot to become trapped and crushed up to the ankle. The victim, enduring\nsevere pain, walked approximately 10 metres before receiving assistance\nfrom his colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s wife, Esti (29), confirmed the incident. SN was\ninitially treated at the OSS clinic before being referred to Bahteramas\nHospital. Esti expressed her concern and hoped the company would take\nfull responsibility for her husband\u2019s medical treatment until he\nrecovers. \u201cMy husband is now disabled. I hope the company takes full\nresponsibility until he recovers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Manpower and\nTransmigration Office (Disnakertrans), La Ode Haswandy, stated that his\noffice had received an initial report and that the supervisory team was\ninvestigating the sequence of events. However, the Head of the Labour\nSupervision and Occupational Health and Safety Division at the Southeast\nSulawesi Disnakertrans, Asnia Nidi, gave a differing statement, saying\nthe office had not yet received any report. PT OSS\u2019s public relations\nrepresentative, Bahar, also claimed to be unaware of the incident.<\/p>",
