        "content": "<p>PT MII launches new software solution<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): An information technology provider, PT Mitra<br>\nIntegrasi Informatika, launched on Wednesday new software,<br>\nBusiness Planning Control System (BPCS), amid growing demand for<br>\nsystem integration solutions in the country's software market.<\/p>\n<p>Company director Wilson Hasyim said that BPCS would provide an<br>\nintegrated solution in the form of financial systems, supply<br>\nchain management and multi-mode manufacturing used in Internet<br>\ntransactions.<\/p>\n<p>The software solution package, which is provided by U.S.-based<br>\nSystem Software Associates, will cost users at least US$25,000,<br>\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>The software will benefit medium and large manufacturers,<br>\nspecifically in electronic, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and<br>\nbeverage, and automotive industries, Wilson said.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson added that the company expected to book $100,000 in<br>\nsales from this new software product.<\/p>\n<p>BPCS faces tough competition with similar products from big<br>\nplayers such as SAP, Oracle, Baan, Peoplesoft, Intentia, JD<br>\nEdwards, Siebel, and Marcom.<\/p>\n<p>Mitra Integrasi Informatika, a subsidiary of PT Metrodata<br>\nElectronics, distributes hardware and software of various global<br>\nbrands, such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, Compaq, Acer, Epson,<br>\nMicrosoft, and Novell, as well as business and network solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The company projects a revenue of Rp 170 billion ($20.4<br>\nmillion) this year, a 13 percent increase from Rp 150 billion in<br>\n1999, Wilson said, adding that it planned to increase the<br>\ncontribution of its non-hardware division this year.(07)<\/p>",
