PT MII launches new software solution<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): An information technology provider, PT Mitra
\nIntegrasi Informatika, launched on Wednesday new software,
\nBusiness Planning Control System (BPCS), amid growing demand for
\nsystem integration solutions in the country's software market.<\/p>\n
Company director Wilson Hasyim said that BPCS would provide an
\nintegrated solution in the form of financial systems, supply
\nchain management and multi-mode manufacturing used in Internet
\ntransactions.<\/p>\n
The software solution package, which is provided by U.S.-based
\nSystem Software Associates, will cost users at least US$25,000,
\nhe said.<\/p>\n
The software will benefit medium and large manufacturers,
\nspecifically in electronic, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and
\nbeverage, and automotive industries, Wilson said.<\/p>\n
Wilson added that the company expected to book $100,000 in
\nsales from this new software product.<\/p>\n
BPCS faces tough competition with similar products from big
\nplayers such as SAP, Oracle, Baan, Peoplesoft, Intentia, JD
\nEdwards, Siebel, and Marcom.<\/p>\n
Mitra Integrasi Informatika, a subsidiary of PT Metrodata
\nElectronics, distributes hardware and software of various global
\nbrands, such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, Compaq, Acer, Epson,
\nMicrosoft, and Novell, as well as business and network solutions.<\/p>\n
The company projects a revenue of Rp 170 billion ($20.4
\nmillion) this year, a 13 percent increase from Rp 150 billion in
\n1999, Wilson said, adding that it planned to increase the
\ncontribution of its non-hardware division this year.(07)<\/p>",
