PT KAI trains begin running on new schedule<\/p>\n

State railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia has implemented
\nnew train schedules effective as of Tuesday, with most trains
\ndeparting earlier than the old timetable, causing many of
\nuninformed passengers in Gambir railway station, Central Jakarta,
\nmissed the trains.<\/p>\n
\"The change was made in response to consumer demand and in
\naccordance with improved infrastructure, such as the Cikampek-
\nCirebon, Cikampek-Purwakarta and Cisomang-Plered double tracks,\"
\nthe company said in a media release.<\/p>\n
In the new schedule, executive train Argo Gede departs Jakarta
\nfor Bandung, West Java, about 30 minutes earlier than previous
\ntimetables, while three of the regular Parahyangan trains that
\nserve the same Jakarta-Bandung route depart five minutes earlier
\nthan previously.<\/p>\n
The Argo Bromo Anggrek executive train serving
\nJakarta-Cirebon-Semarang-Surabaya now leaves Gambir station,
\nCentral Jakarta, at 9:10 a.m. and 9:10 p.m. instead of 9:20 a.m.
\nand 8:45 p.m.<\/p>\n
Departure times for the Argo Muria and Cirebon Express to
\nCirebon have also been pushed up by five to 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
The Central Java-bound trains Purwojaya to Purwokerto, Taksaka
\nto Yogyakarta and Argo Lawu to Surakarta, as well as the Bima to
\nSurabaya, are also leaving 10 to 20 minutes earlier than before.<\/p>\n
Besides the timetables for intra-Java trains, PT KAI has also
\nadjusted the schedules of its Sumatra services.<\/p>\n
