        "content": "<p>PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 4 Semarang has officially\ncommenced operations of the Brumbung Cargo train as of Thursday\n(16\/4\/2026). The inaugural journey ceremony took place at Brumbung\nStation.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Vice President of Sales at PT KAI, Ririn Widi Astutik, and\nHead of KAI Daop 4 Semarang, Mohamad Arie Fathurrochman, attended the\nspecial occasion. Brumbung Cargo is a container freight train operating\non the route from Pasoso Station (Tanjung Priok, Jakarta) to Brumbung\nStation (Demak, Central Java).<\/p>\n<p>Ririn explained that the operation of the Brumbung Cargo train\nrepresents PT KAI\u2019s commitment to improving reliable, efficient, and\nsustainable rail-based freight services. \u201cThe KA Brumbung Cargo is\nexpected to serve as a competitive logistics solution for businesses,\nparticularly in supporting the distribution of goods to and from Central\nJava,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mohamad Arie Fathurrochman explained that the Brumbung\nCargo train is a concrete step in strengthening the role of KAI Daop 4\nSemarang as a strategic logistics node in Central Java. \u201cThrough the\noperation of KA Brumbung Cargo, we are optimistic about enhancing\nfreight transport performance while adding value for our customers,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the presence of the Brumbung Cargo train can become\na reliable logistics transport option to Jakarta. \u201cAdditionally, this\nservice is part of our efforts to support the development of a more\nefficient and sustainable logistics ecosystem,\u201d Arie added.<\/p>\n<p>The Brumbung Cargo train is a container freight train with a\nformation of 20 flat wagons (GD), equivalent to 40 TEUs (40 containers).\nIts carrying capacity can reach approximately 800 tonnes in a single\ntrip.
