PT IPTN to attend airshow<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): State-owned aerospace company PT Industri Pesawat
\nTerbang Nusantara (IPTN) will participate in the prestigious
\nbiannual Air Show Down Under Australian International Air Show &
\nExpo at Avalon Airport Geelong, Victoria, from Feb. 18 to Feb.
\n23.<\/p>\n
This participation is very important because Australia is a
\npotential market for IPTN products, especially its CN-235
\nmultipurpose aircraft, the company said yesterday.<\/p>\n
IPTN announced the Bandung-based company was developing a
\nspecial version of the aircraft, to be called the CN-235 Series
\n330\/Phoenix, to meet some of Australia's aircraft needs. The
\nRoyal Australian Air Force plans to replace a squadron of its
\nCaribou DHC4 with CN-235 Series 330\/Phoenix.<\/p>\n
The announcement said IPTN's CN-235 Series 220 will be a
\nflying attraction during the exhibition.<\/p>\n
During the airshow State Minister for Research and Technology
\nB.J. Habibie, who is also IPTN president, will introduce the
\ncompany's new programs including the manufacturing of the N250
\npropelled aircraft and the N2130 jet.<\/p>\n
This will be the second time IPTN has taken part in the
\nAustralian air show after participating two years ago. (10)<\/p>",
