Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 PSS Sleman coach Pieter Huistra has said the BRI\nSuper League remains the main focus for his team, despite their\nparticipation in the League Cup this season.<\/p>\n
Quoted by the club\u2019s official website on Wednesday, Pieter said the\nLeague Cup was not yet a priority because the competition was still some\nway off.<\/p>\n
He said he wanted PSS Sleman to maintain its focus and positive\nmomentum in the main competition after a 3-0 win over PSM Makassar in\nthe fourth week of the Super League.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, we are not thinking too much about the League Cup at the\nmoment because the competition is still some way off. Our focus now is\nonly on the Super League, because that is the most important thing for\nus,\u201d Pieter said.<\/p>\n
As well as having a different schedule, the League Cup has its own\nregulations, including a limit of three foreign players who can be\nregistered.<\/p>\n
Pieter said the rules could also give PSS an opportunity to field\nplayers who have had limited playing time in the Super League.<\/p>\n
The Dutch coach said the tournament could be a chance for them to\ndemonstrate their abilities and contribute to the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo we may use the League Cup as an opportunity for other players who\nhave not had much playing time in the Super League to play,\u201d Pieter\nsaid.<\/p>\n
In the BRI Super League, PSS Sleman have climbed to 12th place in the\nprovisional standings, with three points from four matches, two points\nclear of the relegation zone.<\/p>\n
