The Indonesian government has granted electronic system providers (PSE) a three-month grace period to meet obligations under Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic Systems for Child Protection (PP Tunas), effective from 28 March 2026. While Meta has achieved full compliance, Roblox and TikTok are partially cooperative and adjusting gradually, but Google has received a written warning and must comply within seven days. Success will be measured by platform adherence and a tangible reduction in child exploitation, bullying, and exposure to negative content online, aiming to create a safer digital space for children.",

Both platforms have submitted written commitments and are making
gradual adjustments to meet PP Tunas provisions.

Google, however, has not yet achieved compliance with PP Tunas,
leading the government to impose a written sanction in the form of a
first written reprimand on 9 April 2026.

“Based on the written reprimand sanction, Google is required to
immediately achieve PP Tunas compliance within a period of seven days
from the imposition of the said administrative sanction,” said
Alexander.

Kemkomdigi measures the success of PP Tunas using two interrelated
indicators.
