The central government, through the Task Force for the Acceleration\nof Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) for\nSumatra, is overseeing the utilisation of an additional IDR 144.67\nbillion in Transfer to Regions (TKD) funds for the 2026 fiscal year in\nSolok Regency, West Sumatra. This oversight aims to ensure the budget\naccelerates recovery in disaster-affected areas while providing direct\nbenefits to the community.<\/p>\n
Supervision was carried out by the Satgas PRR\u2019s West Sumatra Regional\nCoordination Team through a coordination meeting with the Regent of\nSolok and local government officials, followed by field inspections of\ndisaster-affected locations. The initiative seeks to ensure that\nrehabilitation and reconstruction efforts align with on-the-ground\nneeds. Key programmes include infrastructure development, permanent\nhousing (huntap), agricultural land rehabilitation, and the restoration\nof basic services such as education, health, and clean water supply.<\/p>\n
Solok Regency has received the full additional TKD allocation of IDR\n144.67 billion. Of this total, IDR 2 billion has been allocated as\nfinancial assistance to Central Aceh Regency. As of mid-July 2026,\nbudget realisation stood at 17.35 percent, or approximately IDR 25.09\nbillion. The highest absorption has been in the economic sector, while\ninfrastructure, education, and health sectors are being accelerated\nfollowing the completion of budget adjustments and the revised Budget\nImplementation Document (DPA) at the end of June.<\/p>\n
The Solok Regency Government has committed to expediting priority\nprojects to increase absorption in the current quarter. These projects\ninclude the construction of roads, bridges, irrigation networks,\npermanent housing, and public service facilities for disaster-affected\ncommunities. In the housing sector, the location for 180 permanent homes\nhas been designated according to the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction\nMaster Plan (Renduk), with land approved by the National Land Agency\n(BPN), allowing construction to commence soon.<\/p>\n
In the agricultural sector, the local government reported that\napproximately 80 hectares of rice fields suffered severe damage. Around\n16 hectares have been cleared of sediment, while a proposal has been\nsubmitted to adjust the damage status of the remaining 64 hectares to\nqualify for rehabilitation assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture.\nField inspections also revealed that the normalisation of the Saniang\nBaka River, stretching approximately 20 kilometres, and the Batang Muaro\nBungai River, approximately 15 kilometres, remains an urgent need to\nmitigate flood and sedimentation risks. Efforts to restore basic\nservices are ongoing, including the handling of seven drinking water\nsupply systems (SPAM), the rehabilitation of eight affected schools, and\nthe acceleration of public infrastructure recovery.<\/p>\n
