        "content": "<p>The Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation\nand Reconstruction (PRR) has noted that a number of recovery indicators\nin Aceh still require special attention. These findings are expected to\nserve as a reference for local governments in utilising additional\nregional transfers (TKD) and financial assistance from other regions to\naccelerate post-disaster recovery. Head of the PRR Task Force National\nCommand Post, Inspector General Wahyu Bintono Hari Bawono, stated that\nseven districts in Aceh remain in the category requiring special\nattention in the rehabilitation and reconstruction process. These areas\ninclude Bireuen, East Aceh, Central Aceh, North Aceh, Gayo Lues, Aceh\nTamiang, and Pidie Jaya. \u201cThere are still seven other areas in Aceh\nProvince categorised as requiring special attention,\u201d Wahyu said during\nthe Assistance and Monitoring of Regional Transfer Allocation\nAdjustments for Disaster-Affected Districts\/Cities in Aceh Province on\nThursday, 25 June 2026. According to Wahyu, one of the indicators most\nin need of accelerated handling is river normalisation. Based on the PRR\nTask Force\u2019s monitoring, this issue persists in several affected areas\nand progress has not fully aligned with the plan. \u201cRiver normalisation\nis indeed one of the indicators that needs attention and prioritisation\nin rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts,\u201d he said. Additionally,\nthe restoration of paddy fields remains an unresolved task. National\nCommand Post data shows that several areas have yet to demonstrate\noptimal progress in restoring disaster-affected agricultural land. Wahyu\nexplained that the central government, through the Ministry of\nAgriculture, has allocated assistance exceeding IDR 800 billion to\nsupport the sector\u2019s recovery. However, implementation on the ground\nstill requires acceleration as some activities remain in the preparation\nand technical document drafting stages. Another indicator of concern is\nthe restoration of fishponds. According to Wahyu, many pond areas have\nyet to return to normal function, necessitating further intervention to\nsupport community economic recovery. \u201cThese fishpond areas have suffered\ndamage and are not functioning normally. This also needs attention,\u201d he\nsaid. The PRR Task Force also highlighted the construction of permanent\nhousing (Huntap), which in several areas still faces various obstacles,\nfrom land readiness to the provision of supporting infrastructure.\nTherefore, local governments are urged to prepare various supporting\nfacilities so that the residential areas built can function optimally.\nBeyond these sectors, Wahyu reminded regions to continue paying\nattention to the restoration of educational and health facilities, which\nare vital components of post-disaster recovery indicators. He stated\nthat the additional fiscal support received by regions, whether through\nadditional TKD or inter-regional financial assistance, should be\ndirected towards accelerating the completion of various lagging recovery\nindicators. \u201cPlease ensure these existing budgets are adjusted because\nthey relate to the progress of governmental and community recovery\nindicators,\u201d he said. Wahyu added that the post-disaster rehabilitation\nand reconstruction process in Aceh will continue until 2028, in\naccordance with the government\u2019s established Rehabilitation and\nReconstruction Master Plan. Therefore, synergy between local governments\nand relevant ministries and agencies must continue to be strengthened so\nthat all recovery programmes can proceed on target. \u201cThis certainly\nneeds to be anticipated and coordinated so that all planned programmes\ncan be implemented properly,\u201d Wahyu said. The forum, held in a hybrid\nformat at the Multipurpose Building of the Aceh Governor\u2019s Office, was\nattended by representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the PRR\nTask Force, and 18 districts\/cities across Aceh, including the Aceh\nProvincial Government, the Gayo Lues Regional Disaster Management\nAgency, the Langsa City Regional Financial Management Agency, and the\nadministrations of Aceh Singkil, Central Aceh, and Southeast Aceh.<\/p>",
