        "content": "<p>Protesters attack mayor's office<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: More than 1,000 high school students<br>\nprotesting the dismissal of a principal attacked the offices of<br>\nthe mayor of Payakumbuh on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Ten people, including a policeman, were injured and schools<br>\nwere closed for the rest of the day as tension gripped<br>\nPayakumbuh.<\/p>\n<p>The students, from various junior and high schools in the<br>\ntown, were venting their anger at Mayor Darlis Ilyas, who had<br>\nfired Ridwan Janur, the principal of SMU 2 high school. There was<br>\nno explanation as to why Ridwan was dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>The students said that Ridwan's dismissal was unfair. They<br>\ndemanded that the mayor be fired. They became enraged when<br>\nmayoralty employees came out in defense of Darlis.
