        "content": "<p>Protecting <br>\ndelinquent tycoons<\/p>\n<p>From Rakyat Merdeka<\/p>\n<p>The &quot;release and discharge&quot; policy for delinquent tycoons, <br>\nwhich has hurt the people&apos;s sense of justice, has proved <br>\nincapable of making the corruptors atone for their sins and <br>\nsettle their obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Only a few have been obedient, and they deserve the <br>\ngovernment&apos;s praise. However, most have pretended not to be aware <br>\nof their obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Enough is enough. The government has shown enough patience and <br>\nit is now high time for it to take tough action against those <br>\ndebtors who have hurt the public&apos;s sense of justice.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, it is time to wage war against corruption and <br>\ncorruptors. We, from the Indonesian Legal Aid and Human Rights <br>\nAssociation (PBHI), would like to make some points:<br>\n* PBHI demands that all of the corruptors be detained and legal <br>\nproceedings be brought against them. By adopting a lenient stance <br>\nthe government has simply fueled suspicion that it is actively <br>\ninvolved in the circle of corruption.<br>\n* PBHI demands that the government immediately confiscate all the <br>\nwealth of delinquent debtors.<\/p>\n<p>People are tired of having to shoulder the debtors&apos; debts. If  <br>\nthese actions are carried out based on sufficient evidence, we <br>\nwill fully support the government&apos;s actions and declare that they <br>\nare neither against the law nor violating human rights, but <br>\npromoting law enforcement and the upholding of human rights. The <br>\ncase of Hendra Raharja has proved the government&apos;s foolishness.<br>\n* PBHI demands that all law enforcers do their job by the book <br>\nbefore the situation deteriorates.
