        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Public Prosecutors (JPU) have requested\nthat the panel of judges declare Irawan Prakoso, a relative of Mohamad\nRiza Chalid, in violation of Article 291 of the new Criminal Code for\nproviding false testimony in court.<\/p>\n<p>The JPU made this request after Irawan was examined as a witness in\nthe continuation of the case file concerning Hanung Budya Yuktyanta,\nDirector of Marketing and Trading at PT Pertamina (Persero) from April\n2012 to 2014, and former VP of Supply and Distribution at PT Pertamina\n(Persero), Alfian Nasution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd through this opportunity, I request or petition the Panel of\nJudges to designate Mr Irawan Prakoso or other parties who do not\nprovide truthful statements under the provisions of Article 291 of the\nCriminal Code for giving false testimony, with a criminal penalty of 7\nyears,\u201d stated Prosecutor Triyana Setia Putra during the hearing at the\nJakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In response to this request, the panel of judges has not yet\ndetermined its stance.<\/p>\n<p>This is because the statements from Alfian and Hanung were given when\nthey were witnesses for other defendants.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Irawan was examined today for the case involving Hanung\nand Alfian, who are seated as defendants.<\/p>\n<p>Hanung and Alfian have not yet been examined as crown witnesses or as\ndefendants for the case file in their names.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe request from the public prosecutor will be considered later.\nEssentially, that\u2019s it, and it is noted in the minutes.
