        "content": "<p>Medan (ANTARA) - The Head of the Training and Development Agency\n(Kabandiklat) of the Attorney General\u2019s Office of the Republic of\nIndonesia, Harli Siregar, has opened technical training for the\nconsolidation of the new Criminal Code (KUHP) and the Criminal Procedure\nCode (KUHAP) in Medan, North Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis activity is a national programme of the Prosecution Service\nthat must be followed correctly and seriously,\u201d Harli stated during the\nopening ceremony in Medan on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the implementation of Law Number 1 of 2023 regarding\nthe Criminal Code and the updates to the Criminal Procedure Code serve\nas essential guidelines for prosecutors in performing their law\nenforcement duties.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, an understanding of the changes in criminal\nprovisions and criminal procedure is necessary so that prosecutors can\napply them professionally while remaining mindful of the protection of\nhuman rights (HAM).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to ensure the enthusiasm, seriousness, and willingness of all\nof you in participating in this training,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Harli urged all participants to engage earnestly in the training and\nto implement the knowledge gained in their duties as prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaturally, after attending this, it is expected that you can\nimplement the knowledge obtained in your duties as prosecutors, while\ncontinuing to be guided by human rights protection and humanist\njustice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The training is scheduled to last for four days and is attended by\n150 participants, including Heads of General Crimes Sections (Kasi\nPidum), Heads of Special Crimes Sections (Kasi Pidsus), and heads of\nsub-sections from prosecution offices across the northern Sumatra\nregion. The programme features instructors and presenters from various\nagencies and academic circles.<\/p>\n<p>Harli added that the training was initiated by the Functional\nTechnical Education Centre of the Prosecution Service\u2019s Training and\nDevelopment Agency to increase the competence of prosecutors,\nparticularly in understanding the fundamental changes in the new KUHP\nand KUHAP.<\/p>",
